This is a webring made for retro computer enthusiasts. If you're a fan of old mainframes, minicomputers, microcomputers, IBM compatibles, old Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP computers, game consoles, or DIY kit computers, this is the place for you! To start exploring websites created by our members, feel free to use the below widget or to look through our member list! Additionally, check the join instructions if you'd like to be part of the BitRing! If you'd like to join, we encourage you to have some content about retro computing on your website (although it's not strictly required).
Note: This webring is brand new, so please excuse the ugly website and lack of content. This site is under construction and will be finished soon!
Note: This webring is in an early testing state, please understand there may be bugs! By joining early you'll help stress test the webring.
To join, copy and paste the following code on your website (preferrably the home page):
<div id='bitring'> |
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://bitring.neocities.org/onionring/onionring-variables.js"></script> |
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://bitring.neocities.org/onionring/onionring-widget.js"></script> |
</div> |
This code inserts a widget which allows users to navigate the webring.
Additionally, you can link directly to the following pages if you'd like to make your own navigation widget. You will need to replace the "YOURADDRESS" with your website's address (for example, my.example.com - don't include the "https://" portion). The random page is optional:
You will be added to the webring once you've added the necessary widget and emailed us at bitring-signup@proton.me. You can also message me via the Fediverse at mjdxp@labyrinth.zone. Please include your website URL, the page you have placed the navigation widget, your favorite retro computer model and/or game console, and an optional introduction in your message. Additionally, please indicate in the subject line that you would like to join the webring (if applicable). Please note it may take a few days for your website to be added. If you did not provide the necessary information or you do not have the navigation widget on your site, your request may be denied.
By requesting a BitRing membership, you agree to follow these rules.
